Position Vacant: Junior Manufacturing Estimator – All training provided

Join the team operating our state of the art laser cutting facility in Meadowbrook, QLD.

Full-time – 42 hours per week
7:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday (Early knockoff Fridays)

$50,000-$60,000pa

With increased production capacity and a change in strategic direction, our team has the resources to develop another CAD professional for the Australian Manufacturing Industry.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who wishes to pursue a technical drafting career in the Australian manufacturing industry. Joining a team of experienced drafties, you will be tutored and trained during your technical progression. Access to employer funded tertiary education is also on offer for the right candidate who can demonstrate a commitment to the role.

Some CAD/CAM software experience is required to join our iconic sheet metal business located in the Logan area. Exposure to technical drafting in highschool or personal projects including 3D printing and design is suitable experience.

As a Junior Estimator/Draftsperson you will start with a combined role assisting with drafting duties in conjunction with customer service, estimating, and development of 2D and 3D drawings for customer acceptance of cut and folded metal parts. You will assist in the entry of customer orders and management of the entire project lifecycle on behalf of our customers. During this time you will have exposure to the technical requirements and an opportunity to work with some of Australia’s most prestigious manufacturing institutions.

The successful candidate will likely have:

Sound work ethic and a desire to develop a career in technical/engineering drafting
Time management skills – this ability to work quickly and efficiently on customer requests
An eye for detail
Experience working in any industry previously
